The specifications of car tires are relatively concentrated, but the beads and cord wires still need to be released in multiple sections. The task of the coarse crusher is usually to form transportable glue blocks and create conditions for subsequent magnetic separation and fine crushing, rather than completing all metal separation in the first stage.
Material characteristics
- The outer diameter, tire width, rubber thickness and steel wire structure of car tires, truck and bus tires, agricultural tires and engineering tires vary greatly.
- Rubber has high elasticity and high friction. The beads and cord wires will increase the shear load and affect subsequent separation.
- Coarse broken blocks, rubber blocks without steel wire, rubber granules and rubber powder correspond to different crushing stages and sorting requirements.
Key processing challenges
- Elastic tires are prone to rebound when feeding and require stable material pressing and biting.
- There needs to be a balance between the steel wire not being released and the glue block being too thin. You cannot just pursue small particle size.
- Different brands and wear levels will affect rubber thickness and production line load.
Equipment-selection criteria
- Use the largest tire allowed by the system as the boundary to determine whether drawing, loop cutting, strip cutting or other pre-processing is required.
- According to the target product, the shredding stages, tool maintenance methods, screening, magnetic separation and fiber separation configurations are deduced.
- Evaluate low-speed torque, overload protection, reversal logic, and continuous feeding capabilities rather than just comparing motor power.
Typical process flow
After the whole tire is classified, it enters coarse crushing. The rubber blocks are magnetically separated to remove the released steel wires, and then enters fine crushing, screening, fiber separation and multi-stage magnetic separation. The proportion of screen mesh and return material in each section needs to be determined based on the target colloidal particles.
